Scheduled AppointmentsDiagnostic Imaging of Milford has a
dedicated scheduling staff that is well-trained in the various procedures performed in our office. Their knowledge includes the length of time for examinations, preparation instructions, and authorization requests needed from insurance carriers. Appointments are scheduled
with physicians, their staff, or by patients calling directly.
All procedures must have a signed physician order requesting precisely what examination is to be performed. These orders can be mailed or faxed by the referring physician’s office or brought into the office by the patient. A detailed history as to why the procedure is being requested must be on
the requisition order. The more information the technologist and radiologist are given, the more accurate the procedure and interpretation. In addition to written requests from the referring physician, patients will be asked to give a small history regarding the reason for the procedure, which will aid in the precision of their
examination.

*Patients are to bring previous
films and/or reports with them to our office at the time of their
appointment. This will expedite the process of our radiologist
comparing their examinations.*

Non-Scheduled AppointmentsAlthough the majority of our patients at Diagnostic Imaging of Milford have scheduled appointments, we welcome patients who arrive at our office without having a scheduled time. We strive in our efficiency to add these patients to our schedules; however, if specific preparation for their exam is required or a precertification or authorization is needed, they will have to schedule their appointment for another day. If the patient’s exam can be done, our reception staff will inform them of the approximate waiting time. Please understand that patients with scheduled appointments will have their procedures done first. Patients
will have their choice to either wait at the office until a technologist can perform their procedure or we will be happy to schedule them for the next available opening. |
